About Citron
Bistro
Citron Bistro brings fun dining and super
ambience to the neighborhood in the south Denver area. As you enter
the free-standing building, casual décor and comfort immediately
make you feel welcome. The space is large but divided into small
rooms, with a fireplace and big chairs in the lounge, an open
kitchen, and bar area in front. Several areas of dining throughout
offer a more intimate setting with wood floors, brick, warm colors,
and huge windows to set the scene. Start with delicious homemade
bread served with pesto olive oil as you select from several
specialty drinks and wine.
Appetizers include shrimp nachos, meatball sliders, mussels, fried
calamari, and hummus. Asian lollipops, chicken drumettes with Hunan
chili cilantro sauce, and oven roasted feta with tomatoes, olives,
and pita are musts. Entrees offer selections for every taste. For
lighter fare choose adobe grilled chicken salad, tenderloin
gorgonzola salad, a divine focaccia chicken sandwich with mozzarella
or burgers. If you are in the mood for pasta try tequila chicken
pasta, Mediterranean pasta, paella or chicken piccata. Lamb chops,
lamb shank, a pork chop, New York strip steak, trout, and salmon
bring more options. Nice sides complement the dishes, and portions
are very generous. End with decadent desserts of berry cobbler,
crème Brûlée Napoleon, cheesecake or Greek favorites. The wine list
is excellent with many choices by the glass, service is very
friendly and competent, and prices are affordable. Billed as
“serious food with casual attitude”, brothers George and Tom have
created a spot that is a treat for all.
